Helping your staff identify patient language needs.

CyraCom provides clients with the following support materials to help staff identify patient language needs, access CyraCom over-the-phone interpretation services and communicate the language services availability to patients in their preferred language.

Training Video

Designed to help you get started using CyraCom’s OPI service. After viewing the video, you will be able to identify a LEP patient’s language, access a medical interpreter and work effectively with a medical interpreter. Request your DVD copy today or download it through Account Management.

Training Handout

Provides an overview of how to use CyraCom's OPI services. Use the handout in conjunction with the CyraCom Training Video or during regular in-services to reinforce learning and to have available for future reference. Available for download through Account Management.

Interpretation Services Notification Poster

Display these 18"x24" posters at all facility entrance points. The poster is translated into thirty different languages with the phrase "Please notify your caregiver if you speak [language]. Interpretation services are provided at this facility free of charge." You may also request to customize the poster with your facility's logo. Ask your account representative for details.

Language Identification Chart

This chart lists the most frequently requested languages. Display it at all facility entrance points where staff first encounter LEP patients. Show the chart to your patients and have them point to the language they speak.

Language Identification Card

Provide LEP patients with an ID card during the admitting process. Write their language on the card in English and instruct the patient to present the card at each subsequent visit. Stickers indicating a patient's language are provided for placement in the patient's file and for applying to the patient's bracelet.

Laminated Instruction Card

Attach to any phone or ClearLink® dual handset phones. Provides instructions for how to access an interpreter, use the additional person anytime option, work effectively with an interpreter and there is a language identification tool.

Quick Access Instruction Card

Provides instructions for how to access an interpreter from any phone, use the additional person anytime option, work effectively with an interpreter and there is a language identification tool on the reverse side.

ClearLink® Location Sign

Use these signs to build awareness of the interpreter services and indicate where staff can readily find ClearLink® phones for quick service access.

Interpreter Conferencing Instruction Card

Provides instructions for how to access an interpreter when you make outbound or receive inbound calls from an LEP caller.

Access Stickers

Place on any phone handset to provide instruction on how to access an interpreter.
